Our School Day

Our School Day

The first bell will ring on the playground at 8.40am. The children will then have the option to come into school or stay outside until the second bell at 8.45am.

The school doors on the playground will then be closed at 8:50am. Any child arriving after this time will need to come into school via the school office.

The school day starts at 8.50am and finishes at 3.00pm. Registration is from 8.50am.

Playtimes

At 10.15am the KS1 and Year 3 children have a fifteen minute break followed by KS2 at 11.00am.

Foundation and reception children have flexible outdoor play in the Foundation Unit playground.

Lunchtime

Children in the Foundation Stage have their lunch at 11.45am  and their break ends at 12.45pm. The children in Years 1 to 4 have their lunch at 12.00 until 12.45pm. Years 5 and 6 eat from 12.15pm and return to class at 1.00pm.

Afternoon Playtimes

These are at the discretion of the class teacher.

Drop-off and collection

At the beginning and the end of the day, parents are encouraged into the playground where they will be met by Mr Belton, Mrs Turner and Miss Grace. They are available to discuss any issues regarding school and home – we want to have good links with all parents. If normal arrangements have to be altered (eg you are delayed or another person is collecting your child) please let us know at the office. This avoids any confusion or upset.

Coming to school

To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option! We have a bike shed if your child would like to cycle however, we do ask that children walk across the playground with their bikes for the safety of everyone around. If you do need to travel by car, please park wisely and away from the school gates.
