All About Our School Council

At Scunthorpe C of E Primary School, we believe that every child should have a voice and the opportunity to help shape our school community. Our School Council plays an important role in ensuring that pupils can share their ideas, opinions, and suggestions about issues that matter to them.

Each year, two representatives from every class are elected by their classmates to serve on the School Council. These councillors meet regularly with Mrs Neall to discuss pupil ideas, identify areas for improvement, and help make positive changes across the school.

During the 2025-2026 academic year, our School Council achieved a great deal. They organised a community litter pick to help care for the local environment, gathered pupil voice on after-school clubs and Favourite Friday lunch choices, and held a successful fundraising toy sale. The money raised provided an end-of-year treat for all pupils, helping to create lasting memories for everyone.

We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, commitment, and leadership shown by our School Councillors. We look forward to seeing what this year's Council will achieve and the positive impact they will continue to have on our school and wider community.
